I am a painter and printmaker based in Chicago, currently studying Fine Arts at Cornell University. My studio practice is informed by my interests in museum studies, curatorial and collections work, and sustainability.

I derive much of my inspiration in the studio from my personal relationships with my environment, myself, my friends, my peers, my professors, my family, and the media I consume. I believe focusing on my immediate relationships in my work is an attempt to find or shape my own identity.

My recent work has focused exclusively on this exploration of relationships, and I view my past work as a series of studies for the work I create now. I have been working at an increasing scale, both in my paintings and prints, and I feel a constant need to expand my practice. I enjoy creating work that invites viewers to step into the scene they’re seeing, rather than look at it from a distant standpoint. Painting and printmaking stand at the center of my practice, but I would like to push the boundaries of how I use these media.

By focusing on my investigation of close relationships, I can start to reflect on pivotal themes and times of change in my life that have had a lasting impact on my identity and my ability to form connections.

When not in the studio, I can usually be found baking, listening to music, or drawing at a nearby cafe.

Always happy to connect, whether for a project or just to talk!
